My newest horse character...though I haven't done anything with him as of yet. Let alone have I finished a full profile for him.
I'm such a lazy bum sometimes! Least I admit it, right?
Name
Verboten
Age
9 years
Lineage
Quarter Horse x Mustang
Height
15.5 HH
Color
Bay
Appearance
Verboten is a semi-muscular stallion. Pools of dark brown gaze upon the world around him. The color is so deep in shade, that they almost look black in certain lights. With a coat of dark chestnut, he matches the soils he treads upon. Black stockings shadow all four pillars that hold up the Bay. To match his legs, the flowing mane and tail are of coal. Even due the many years he's spent upon this earth, he only beholds one scar. A long, nearly invisible, gash runs along his right hind-leg. When the lights are behind him, the scar is invisible from a distance. Hidden by the shadows of his own form.
Personality
Verboten is a very protective and loyal stallion. He watches over foals and mares. Though he wishes to not have any for himself, he'll die before he'd allow another stallion to harm any mare or foal. He's not much of a leader and prefers to be on his own. Considering he's not much of a talker, being in solitude is less uncomfortable than a crowd.
History
Most of his life has been in isolation. Occasionally, he has ventured into a herd for a little socialization, but he doesn't stay all that long. As a foal, he lived with his father most of the time. Which is awkward in the equine world. His mother died while giving birth to him, so he assumes that his father felt sorry for him. At the age of two winters, his father was captured by humans. The stallion's sire has not been seen since. Verboten hopes that one day he'll at least see his father again.
Other
Verboten enjoys spending time with himself and nature. Whenever he gets the chance, he'll gallop away from his problems and take a dive in a nearby creek. His favorite past time is laying in a meadow, watching the wind play with the leaves above him.

This newsletter was "born" back in March 2007, from a conversation between ~Lareth and =FrozenStarRo, who with the help of their friends *Iardacil and =Sylwiaa , wanted to make something to promote known and unknown photomanipulators alike here on DeviantArt. As of September 2009 =ImaginaryRosse joined the project and will be helping us out with the weekly choices. While things have changed over time, the essence of the newsletter is still the same. As of recent, the talented =Behana has joined us in bringing you this weekly newsletter and we are excited to have her on board. This is a special feature, with a selection of 50 manips from the past year that we loved.
